Master Plan

An updated draft of the Comprehensive Master Plan is now available on the city's website. The City Commission will begin discussing the draft at their meeting on March 19. They will also vote on whether to begin the 42-day review process required before the final adoption. Public comment will be welcome at any of the upcoming meetings listed on the website or by email to our city clerk. Learn more



Yard-Waste-Bags

Yard Waste Pickup

Though we've had a few tastes of warm weather, winter still isn’t technically over. If you have begun doing yard work, please do not place barrels and bags out for pickup or rake leaves into the street. Yard waste collection will resume Monday, April 2. As a reminder, here are the guidelines for yard waste pickup. 



2018 Construction Projects 

Below is a preliminary map of upcoming construction projects. With the execption of the Breton Rd. project, all projects are scheduled to be completed by July, baring any unforeseen circumstances. Notices have been sent to homes that will be affected by the projects. More details will be released soon in upcoming newsletters and on the website.

Pot Holes

Crews will be out over the next several weeks fixing potholes throughout the city. If you notice a pothole, please call Public Works at 616.940.4870 or click here to submit a request online.

Please note, the Spectrum Health Irish Jig will be held Saturday, March 17. There will be road closures -- see course map above. Please be extra careful while commuting around the race course and plan ahead for delays.

Spectrum Health – Blodgett Hospital Proposed Site Plan

Spectrum Health recently submitted a site plan for changes to the Blodgett campus parking and wayfinding. After public input, including a special Planning Commission meeting, Spectrum Health reevaluated its plans and submitted an updated draft. A special Planning Commission meeting is planned for Tuesday, March 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at the Community Center. Updated plans will be uploaded to the City's website by the end of the week. Information on plans can be found here.

2018 EGR Sweetheart Dance An Evening in Paris

Girls from age four to the eighth grade are invited to bring their dad, grandpa, uncle or special friend to this Parisian themed event. Receive a beautiful corsage before heading to the dance floor. Enjoy delicious desserts and make a special craft to bring home. “Dates” will compete for the most outrageous heart-themed tie. It’s sure to be a magical night!
