FIREWORKS IN EGR

Please note the fireworks ordinance in our City — from Saturday, June 29 through Friday, July 5, fireworks are permitted from 11 a.m. until 11:45 p.m. Fireworks are prohibited on public, church, school or private property without express permission from the property owner or a permit from the City. Additionally, setting off fireworks while under the influence of alcohol or marijuana is a violation of our City Code.

We ask that you be courteous of your neighbors while celebrating. Fireworks can be a PTSD trigger for veterans and the noise and flashing lights may also distress pets.

BOATING ON REEDS LAKE

As a reminder, the boat launch will be closed for the 4th of July parade and park activities from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. as well as from 8 - 11 p.m. on Independence Day. Keep this in mind as you plan your day.

PARK RULES

Did you know that alcohol and fireworks — including sparklers — are prohibited on EGR public parks and school properties? Residents and visitors cannot bring, possess or consume either. We enforce these rules to keep City events family-friendly and enjoyable for everyone.

Please note that dogs must be held on a leash not exceeding six feet in length and controlled by their owner at all times. Owners are also responsible for cleaning up after their own pets.

Visit our website to view the full rules and regulations.

KEEP EGR CLEAN

As we celebrate July 4, we ask that you refrain from leaving trash around the parks and grounds. Committed to keeping our community clean, recycling and garbage cans are conveniently placed throughout the City.

ROAD CLOSURES

Both the Trail Blazer and the parade will necessitate road closures in EGR throughout the morning and early afternoon of the 4th. Click here to see the Trail Blazer course map and here to read the parade course.

Please review our construction webpage to stay informed of additional road closures due to construction this week.
