East Grand Rapids, Michigan, November 6, 2019 – On Tuesday, East Grand Rapids residents elected Katie Favale as the City’s new mayor along with three commissioners.
Favale, who has resided in the City for 9 years, has served on the City Commission for two years as a First Ward representative. She earned 2,358 votes in her contest with eight-year veteran and incumbent Amna Seibold’s 1,531 votes.
“I am looking forward to a great relationship with City staff and working together to ensure that East Grand Rapids remains a wonderful place to live, work and play,” said Favale. “In the next four years, we will enhance quality of life for residents and pursue initiatives to take our city into the future.”
